Not a long night. Conditions were actually better than they’ve been the last few nights I’ve been able to observe, but I was too tired to stay out very long; also, Monday night (and quite likely Tuesday night) are supposed to be even better. Mostly I went out to finish collimating the scope, which I did on Vega initially, and then checked again later on Deneb. I didn’t even set up the shelter for this session.

Detected faint nebulosity with M17 and M16 with the ultrablock filter. Tried the OIII filter on them too for the hell of it, but it looked pretty much the same. The broadband filter helped only minimally. M18 and M26 were kind of “eh”, at least tonight, but the Wild Duck was quite a sight.

Also tried at M110 and NGC 7331, but no luck.
